Dumbbells only resist movements in the direction of Gravity. The Radian Sliding Grip Bar offers additional resistance to Adduction of the arms in push workouts. Adduction engages the chest fibers much more than normal push movement!
This bar also resists abduction of the arms in pull workouts!
The resistance increases with increase in weight, and is felt more in the later parts of the working set.
This combined with its symmetrical handle movement, ensures stable control and adds a new dimension to training experience, resulting in a next level contraction and pump.
If the exact movement is copied with dumbbell flies, this bar still proves itself Levels Above in terms of contraction, pump and growth!
However, both Dumbbells and this bar, have their own unique place, and cannot be replaced by the other.
This barbell is engineered to enhance muscle contraction and deliver an intense pump. For optimal results, we recommend using a weight that is neither too light nor too heavy—this allows for the smoothest motion with maximum contraction.
Due to the bar’s unique design, even lighter weights can feel significantly heavier, so it's best to start at a lower weight and gradually increase until you find the right resistance for your exercises.
- Symmetrical and Synchronized handle movement - Once both the handles are gripped, the handles move in a symmetrical fashion. This makes the bar more stable than dumbbells, as the motion of both hands remains symmetrical.
Our V2 Sliding Grip Bar is 7 Feet 2 Inches in length, and around 20KG (45lbs) in weight, just like most of the bars seen in a commercial gym. This is the only variant available with the maximum range of motion.
The Radian V2 Sliding Grip Bar is suitable for both home and commercial gym use. It is tested for long term durability and smooth performance, ensuring that it will be a long lasting addition to your gym.
- This bar does not necessarily require any extra lubrication. However, for users looking for a smoother motion, we recommend a light spray of Teflon over the shaft.
- Please ensure that the barbell shaft remains free from dust, dirt and residue by regularly cleaning the shaft with a dry cloth. Residue on the barbell shaft can reduce its smoothness, which can be immediately restored by this step.
- Avoid placing your fingers under and next to the moving handles.
- Keep long hair away from the handles. It is possible that the hair may be caught in the mechanism.
- Weights feel much heavier on this bar as compared to other equipment. Do not overload the bar more than your lifting capacity. We recommend trying the bar without weights initially.
- Avoid rapidly sliding a single handle into the center of the bar's shaft. When transitioning the bar from a bench to a vertical stand, ensure the handle reaches the center gently. Before release, we redesigned and rigorously tested the Radian V2 Sliding Grip Bar to ensure no damage occurs, even if this happens. Despite this, we still recommend exercising caution. There have been ZERO reports of handle damage due to this. The Radian Sliding Grip Barbell V2 is very strongly built and designed for long term durability.

Why not "Just Use Dumbbells" Instead?

FASTER EXHAUSTION
This bar actually increases the challenge and difficulty of your workouts, and exhausts muscles in a much quicker time period. It requires a lot of effort even on light weights, and will actually enhance your training experience.

Both the handles of the bar move in a synchronized fashion once both of them are gripped.
TRAINING RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Initially, practise the exercises using the empty bar, without weights. Then slowly add weights to the movement. Weights feel much heavier on this bar compared to other equipment.
2. For best possible contraction and pump, use medium weight. Do not load the bar more than your capacity.
3. Just at the liftoff, make sure both the handles are equidistant from the Centre. The handles during workout move in a synchronized manner.

Yes, once both the handles are grabbed, they move in synchronized fashion during exercise. In no way under normal circumstances can any handle "slip" while exercising.
Yes, much heavier due to the bars unique style of resistance.
It is 330LBS. It may sound less than needed, but it is very high for a bar of this type, as even people with a 405LBS Bench cant use more than 250LBS on our sliding grip bar due to its unique style of resistance.

Yes! The handles are knurled. It's not overly aggressive, but moderately so.

It is Cerakote for both the shaft and sleeves.
Yes, tested severely on both heavy and light weights, on different handle movement speeds.
No, its not just for bench press. It can be used for rows, upright rows, rear delt fly movement and shoulder press as well.
This bar is more stable than dumbbells, and less stable than a normal bar. If you don't find any stability problems with dumbbell presses, you most likely wont find it on this bar too. However, using very heavy weight beyond the user's capacity is dangerous, like it is on every barbell.
